PNGA WINS MORSE CUP TEAM COMPETITION With co-leader Josh Immordino leading the way, the Pacific Northwest Golf Association rallied from five shots back to capture the annual Morse Cup competition, held in conjunction with the first two stroke-play rounds of the 40th Pacific Coast Amateur Championship at The Olympic Club. With the best two of three individual scores counting in each round, PNGA totaled 286, 4 over par, and finished two shots in front of first-round leader Northern California and Oregon. Two-time defending champion Washington State GA finished tied for fourth with Public Links GA of Southern California, seven shots behind PNGA. All three PNGA players contributed to the team total. Immordino’s 72 and Zach Bixler’s 74 in the first round had the PNGA team five shots behind Northern California heading into today’s final round. Immordino’s sparkling 69 paired the Adam Hadwin’s 71 produced an even-par 140 today.
