Pacific Coast Golf Assocation
The Pacific Coast Golf Association (PCGA) was organized in 1967 for the purpose of conducting a major amateur championship for players of note on the West Coast and to assist those players in gaining recognition by the United States Golf Association for the prestigious Walker Cup Team selections.
The Pacific Coast Amateur is an individual competition comprised of some of North America and the Pacific Rim's most outstanding players, including players from the following 16 PCGA member amateur golf associations: Alberta Golf Association, Arizona Golf Association, British Columbia Golf Association, Colorado Golf Association, Idaho Golf Association, Northern Nevada Golf Association, Northern California Golf Association, Oregon Golf Association, Southern California Golf Association, Southern Nevada Golf Association, Public Links Golf Association of Southern California, Sun Country Amateur Golf Association (New Mexico/Texas), Utah Golf Association, Washington State Golf Association, and Wyoming State Golf Association.
