Pacific Coast Amateur Championship
Entry Instructions

The Pacific Coast Amateur Championship has a long and proud history as one of North America's premier amateur championships. Some of the greatest names in golf have participated in our event over the years, including Johnny Miller, Hale Irwin, Peter Jacobsen, John Cook, Fred Couples, Cory Pavin and Billy Mayfair to name just a few.

Following this strong tradition, entry into the Pacific Coast Amateur Championship is by invitation only in the following manner:

  • Presidential Invitation - Individuals may request consideration to receive a Presidential Invitation to compete in the Championship. This should be done at the earliest possible date by submitting a letter or email request to the PCGA Recruiting Committee, which MUST be accompanied by a list of major golf accomplishments. A limited number of Presidential Invitations are available and will be extended based on merit. Requests and resumes should be sent to:

  • PCGA Member Association Exemptions - Each Pacific Coast Golf Association (PCGA) member amateur golf association is annually afforded three exemptions to extend to their finest players. Each PCGA member assocation has its own method for indentifying players to receive exemptions (points system, state amateur champion, subjective selections, etc.).
