James Fahy Leads PAC Coast Alum at Duck Invitational

PCGA Offices (Federal Way, WA)--2013 Pacific Coast Amateur alumnus James Fahy of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, lead the way for PAC Coast Alumni at the 2015 Oregon Duck Invitational last week. 

Hosted by the Eugene CC, our upcoming host venue in July, the Oregon Duck Invitational featured a strong field who battled through rain soaking conditions at the challenging layout. Fahy, who last competed in the Pacific Coast Amateur in 2013 at the Capilano G&CC in West Vancouver, carded rounds of 71-72-71(214) to finish two-under-par, two shots back of individual champion and Scratch Player World No.1 Jon Rahm of Arizona State University.

Cody Blick Victorious at Bandon Dunes

PCGA Offices (Federal Way, WA)-- San Jose State University's Cody Blick of Danville, CA claimed the rain-shortened Bandon Dunes Championship last week, posting impressive rounds of 65-73-138 (-6). Cody finished one stroke clear of his nearest competitor, claiming his fourth individual tournament as a member of the Spartans golf program. 

Hossler Finishes Tied Runner-Up at Star Packed SH Collegiate Masters

PCGA Offices (Federal Way, WA) - Pacific Coast Alum and University of Texas Sophomore Beau Hossler from Mission Viejo, CA could not catch Alabama Crimson Tide's Robby Shelton at the SH Collegiate Masters hosted by UNLV last week, finishing tied for second with Arizona State's Jon Rahm, ranked number one in the Scratch Player World Amateur Ranking.

Hossler, who last played in the Pacific Coast Amateur in 2012 when it was hosted by Bandon Dunes in Bandon, OR, fired rounds of 71-68-68-207 (-9) to land six strokes back of Shelton at -15. Hossler did however lead the Texas Longhorns to a team victory.

Other PAC Coast alums in the field included Kurt Kitayama (T11), Eric Sugimoto (T30), Lorens Chan (T34), AJ McInerney (T34), Nicol Galletti (T64) and Taylor Montgomery (T66)

Corey Pereira is the 48th Pacific Coast Amateur Champion

Cameron Park, CA native cards  final round 67 to finish the Championship at -19 breaking the lowest gross score record held for 11 years;

Matt Hansen of Los Osos, CA and Lorens Chan of Honolulu, HI finish tied for runner-up

Flagstaff, AZ. (Pacific Coast Amateur)- Corey Pereira showed no signs of final round pressure, posting a three-under 67 en-route to becoming crowned the 48th Pacific Coast Amateur Champion at the Pine Canyon Club.
